It was one of those ordinary days when I was at the supermarket with my Lifeline, just casually walking down the aisles, picking up a few things. Suddenly, in the middle of the store, he turned to me and said, “Kiss me.” I froze. I couldn’t believe my ears. What on earth was he saying? My mind raced, trying to process his unexpected demand. Was he being serious? Did he mean it in a romantic way, or was this some sort of joke?

For a second, I thought, “What just happened?” His words echoed in my head. “Kiss me, kiss me!” There was a slight urgency in his tone, and I was completely thrown off balance. I didn’t know whether to laugh, respond, or just stand there in confusion. My thoughts was racing in all directions.

Before I could fully comprehend the situation, my mouth somehow reacted faster than my brain, and I just said, “Okay, okay.” Without thinking much more about it, I leaned in, about to plant a quick peck on his cheek. But as I moved closer, he stopped me and said, “No, no, I meant Kismi!” His words hit me like a wave, and then it all clicked. He wasn’t asking for a kiss; he was talking about the candy – the famous Kismi, the sweet toffee-filled chocolate.

A sudden realization washed over me, and I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. It was one of those moments when the confusion turned into amusement, and everything made sense in an instant. The misunderstanding had been so random that I just couldn’t stop laughing at myself. It had been a total mix-up between the words “kiss me” and “Kismi,” and it was so silly and unexpected that it felt like the funniest thing in the world at that moment.

When I started laughing, Munchie, who had been standing beside me, looked at me with a puzzled expression. “Why are you laughing?” he asked, not understanding what had just happened. I could barely contain my laughter as I tried to explain what had just gone through my mind. “Well,” I began, still chuckling, “I thought you were asking for a kiss, and I almost leaned in to give you one. But then you said ‘Kismi’ – the candy – and I realized you were just talking about the toffee.”

The absurdity of the whole situation made me laugh even harder, and Munchie, after hearing the story, started laughing too. He found the whole mix-up just as funny as I did. The moment was so innocent and silly, and it reminded me of how easily we can misinterpret things, especially in the most unexpected situations.

As we both calmed down from our laughter, Munchie grinned and said, “Well, I wouldn’t have minded even if you had thought I meant kiss me and had given me a peck”. We were both able to find humor in the confusion, and it was a reminder that life doesn’t always have to be so serious. Sometimes, a little misunderstanding can lead to a lot of laughter, and that’s exactly what happened in that moment.

Finally, the Rosemilk-flavoured kismi toffee was sweet and fragrant, with a light floral note that was delicate yet satisfying, reminiscent of the popular Indian drink.

Each toffee in the pack had its own distinct character, offering a variety of flavours that appealed to different tastes. The assortment was a great way to bring some variety and fun into the candy experience. My niece, who is always excited about trying new sweets, couldn’t wait to dive into the pack. She was delighted by the different flavours, and we had a great time sitting together and sampling each one.
